Welcome to northernfoodanddrink.co.uk.
This site is about what’s really
good to eat and drink in the north of England; the suppliers,
establishments and smallholders that make northern food unique.
We want to share with you some of the fantastic local food and drink
we’ve discovered for ourselves over the past few years, and sing the
praises of the exceptional producers, retailers and other small business
persons who are making these foods available.
We’re situated in Manchester, and would really like to hear about
producers, retailers, restaurants, cafes and events from all over the
North. Please tell us about the best food and drink in your local area.
Whether it’s traditional, vegetarian, modern, exotic or anything else;
if it’s interesting, tell us about it!

Sweet, rich, moist, and tasty; sticky toffee pudding is a particularly
Northern traditional pudding, albeit one that is now widely popular.
You can make this pudding in a loaf tin, but it’s a good one for little
individual pudding basins; there’s something particularly satisfying
about having one all to yourself!

If you’re not lucky enough to have a good butcher local to you, who makes their own sausages, making your own sausages and sausage meat is a rewarding (and relatively easy!) alternative. |
